Lama Chonam Bio

Lama Chonam entered the traditional 3 year, 3 month retreat in 2004 under the guidance of the Venerable Lama Norlha Rinpoche. Before that, he traveled extensively in Tibet and assisted in the day-to-day running of a Kagyu retreat center/monastery for Rinpoche in Charlottesville, VA. After finishing retreat Lama Chonam lived and worked at Kagyu Thubten Choling monastery in upstate NY. He has been given permission by Rinpoche to teach the Dharma (the Buddha's teachings) in the tradition of the Kagyu lineage as transmitted to him throughout these years.
